Walk & Roll to School Day - Oct 6

National Walk, Bike and Roll to School Day - Oct 6

What: National Walk, Bike or Roll to School Day

When: Wed, Oct 6th

Why: Attention all walkers and bikers! Wednesday, October 6th is National Walk and Bike to School Day! LES is registered for this day that promotes health, safety, and pollution/traffic reduction. Participation is easy: plan your safe route to school and leave a few minutes early to grab a cool vinyl sticker from one of the volunteers outside the designated school entrances for walkers and bikers. In honor of our crossing guards, we encourage you to WEAR YELLOW (or your Hello shirts if you have them!). We will be giving small gifts to the crossing guards. Encourage kids to write them a note of thanks!

NOTE: Our Lost & Found is pretty full! Items will be located at the side entrance by the library during Walk & Roll (thank you Brooke Peterson!)

Volunteer Needs: People to stand near walk and bike entrances to hand out vinyl stickers to participants.
