Cultural Fair & Potluck

The Cultural Fair & Potluck is one of the highlights of the school year! This is a night where we come together to celebrate the diversity of cultures and ancestry within the LES community. It is a FREE event and all are welcome. This event is extra special because our school community shares their own family traditions and favorite recipes. Many families bring dishes to share – resulting in tables that are overflowing with tastes from around the world. Others showcase their culture through dance, music or art, and many families choose to wear traditional dress. This event is not to be missed!

If you would like to sign up to bring a dish, please use this form: Potluck Signup. Some additional info if you’re bringing food:

  • Quantity: No amount of food is too much! The target is 30-40 small servings per dish, but if you are able to make a BIG tray of food, please do! 😋

  • Serving: Please bring your own serving utensils (we will have plates, forks, napkins); We will NOT have access to outlets / microwaves to heat up food

  • Arrival: We ask that you arrive with your dish between 5:15-5:45pm so we can all "set the table" for the potluck.

  • Allergens: There will be tent cards in the MPR for you to label your dish and check off any allergens (e.g. peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish).

  • Background Info: The tent card will have space to include the region of origin as well as other information / facts about your dish. NOTE: Some families choose to create additional printouts / displays with info about their dish or its region of origin. This is a great opportunity to share with the rest of our community :)

This year we are also creating a community cookbook! We would love to include YOUR recipes so we can all try our hands at making these dishes. We will share more communications about this at the event and after. However, if you'd like to write down your recipe as you cook (or take/upload pictures of the finished dish), here is the link to contribute: LES Cookbook 2026

Finally, please pass this information on to other families and encourage them to join in! We cannot wait to see you all on February 19th!
