LES PTA is lucky to be partnering again with the one and only Town Hall Education to bring you this year’s musical: Madagascar - A Musical Adventure Jr.!!!

 

Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and, of course, those hilarious, plotting penguins as they bound onto your stage in the musical adventure of a lifetime.  Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar – A Musical Adventure JR. follows all of your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.  Filled with outlandish characters, adventure galore and an upbeat score, Madagascar JR. will leave audiences with no choice but to “Move It, Move It!”

 

This year we will be offering 3 performance casts AND 3 stage crews, if your student prefers something more behind the scenes.  Rehearsals take place in the Multi-Purpose Room at LES, immediately after school.  Dress Rehearsals and Performances take place across the street from LES at Town Hall Theatre: 3535 School Street.

 

Tuesday Performance Cast

Rehearsals: Tuesdays 2:42pm - 5:30pm, December 3, 2024 - March 11, 2025 (No Class December 24 and 31)

Dress Rehearsals: Tuesday, March 18,  2:42pm - 6:30pm AND Saturday, March 22,  9:00am - 12:00pm (both at Town Hall Theatre)

Performances: Tuesday, March 25 at 5:00pm AND 7:30pm (both at Town Hall Theatre)

 

Wednesday Performance Cast

Rehearsals: Wednesdays 1:42pm - 4:30pm, December 4, 2024 - March 12, 2025 (No Class December 25 and January 1)

Dress Rehearsals: Wednesday, March 19,  1:42pm - 5:30pm AND Saturday, March 22,  1:00pm - 4:00pm (both at Town Hall Theatre)

Performances: Wednesday, March 26 at 5:00pm AND 7:30pm (both at Town Hall Theatre)

 

Thursday Performance Cast

Rehearsals: Thursdays 2:42pm - 5:30pm, December 5, 2024 - March 13, 2025 (No Class December 26 and January 2)

Dress Rehearsals: Thursday, March 20,  2:42pm - 6:30pm AND Sunday, March 23,  9:00am - 12:00pm (both at Town Hall Theatre)

Performances: Thursday, March 27 at 5:00pm AND 7:30pm (both at Town Hall Theatre)

 

Stage Crew students will use their creativity to support the production through design and technical elements, such as scenic painting, costuming, set, lighting, and sound design.  Students start February 18, 19, or 20, depending on which day of the week they signed up for.  They will attend all remaining weekly rehearsals, including the dress rehearsals and performances at Town Hall Theatre.

 

***Matinee performances for students during the school day will be held the week of March 24-28 at Town Hall Theatre; exact dates and times to be determined.***

 

Registration through Town Hall Education will open starting Tuesday, October 29 at 8:00pm, and will operate on a first come first served basis until the classes are full. There will be a wait list available. The fee for participation this year is $400 per student ($100 for stage crew).

First Time Enrolling in a Town Hall Class (Create a Jackrabbit Account)

- Start the sign up process for a Jackrabbit account via the link provided.

 

- To complete registration, you are asked to input your credit card information. Please note, this just links the card to their online account and does not complete payment for classes. 

 

- Parents are welcome to register for a Jackrabbit account prior to enrollment opening for LES classes, but you will not see the LES classes as a class option until enrollment opens on October 29th. 

 

Please double check you are enrolled for the correct class. We have multiple classes each day of the week for each age group, so please double check it specifically lists "LES" in the class title. The classes are labeled as follows:

Once you enroll for a class, the price for the class will show up under "account balance" as an unpaid balance. If you have successfully enrolled for the class, it will show up under "My Schedule" at the bottom of the home page. Parents are welcome to complete the class payment just after enrolling, but it is not a requirement. Payment will be collected one week after enrollment via the card on file unless parents reach out about a payment plan or tuition assistance.

- Log in to your Jackrabbit account via the link provided.

 

- Find "Looking For a Class" and click the green "Find Classes" button

 

- Choose the class to enroll in. Please double check you are enrolled for the correct class. We have multiple classes each day of the week for each age group, so please double check it specifically lists "LES" in the class title. The classes are labeled as follows:

- Agree to the policies and then click the "Add" button at the top of the page

- If done adding classes to your cart, click on either the "Check Out Now" pop up OR the cart icon in the upper right hand side

- Click "Accept Enrollment Fees and Continue" and follow any additional steps to complete enrollment.
